More like “A Clockwork Boring!”

Hi. I’m esteemed literary critic Mr. Rec. it used to be Recommendation, but we shortened it at Ellis Isle about 3 weeks ago. Used to island, now it’s isle. These folks are good. Do you like reading but are tired of the same old bad stuff? Look no further than me and we will stick to the good stuff. Looking for horror? Why read “The Shining” or as I call it, “The Whining,” when you can read Mr. Rec. presents “Scary Stories to Read in a Book,” now in papaerbook. Oh yeah, I don’t use the word paperback. Side bar, why don’t they call it that? It’s in the name. Hard book, paper book, makes too much sense, but I digress. If it’s fantasy that you ask to see, instead of reading “Game of Thrones” or whatever, might I interest you in Mr. Rec. presents “The Dragons Who Eat People.” It’s just dragons, sitting around the dinner table, being all civilized, and eating people. No spoilers. Do you want to read a self-help psychology book? Don’t run to Gladwells the “The Crapping Point,” when you could easily check out Mr Rec. presents “A Few Studies About Golf, Iodized Salt, and WWII That’ll Make You Say Huh?” I’m full of new recommendations, each better than the last. Go out and read something good!
